KREBS Anniversary Beer Cans

KREBS Anniversary Beer Cans

This project was born during the toughest pandemic time last year when I decided to join a bunch of local entrepreneurs to collaborate with their small businesses. My KREBS folks had imagined a vibrant and crowded 1st anniversary celebration at their taproom, so, after having accepted that it wouldn’t be possible in the short term, we thought an alternative way to take something special to their community.

Canned kraftbeer was the chosen alternative as it offered us both functional and emotional chances to engage KREBS community and increase sales. As for the functional side, beer cans allow selling small amount of beer and give consumers space to choose different beer variaties at convenient pricing, as well as keeping the beer quality safe by using a secure and recyclabe packaging. As for the emotional, expressive side, cans are a perfect alternative as they allow to cover 90% of the container’s surface with custom artworks.

The label I developed for KREBS anniversary cans is inspired by the ordinary and traditional stuff that you can find walking the neighborhoods of Berisso, an Argentinian industrial and port city born in 1871 built by a multicultural population made up of hard-working immigrants. KREBS cans show street dogs and cats, small port town imagery and a bunch of winks that plays tribute to KREBS founders, 4 basketball-and-beer-lover friends who are known in Berisso for being  a chill and passionate gang.

Here I’m showing the packaging artwork and some graphic assets used for the launching campaign. Hope you enjoy it!
